Well, getting menus prepared for the week is still a bit hit or miss, it seems. This weekend, however, I did get a menu put together. I’ll be off shortly to the grocery store, so then we’ll be all stocked up and ready to go! I’ve even got a few things in mind for the following week (if I remember them by then)…
- Chicken, Asparagus & Rice – This was originally going to be a new recipe with a Gruyere cheese sauce; however, the grocery store did not have Gruyere… I might try using a White Cheddar, instead.
- Penne Pasta with Broccoli & Potatoes – Sounded interesting and potentially tasty.
- Roast Beef Sandwiches – Or perhaps wraps with cream cheese.
- Leeks – I nabbed the last two leeks at the grocery store. I’ve never cooked with them before, but I did see a Cheesy Leeks recipe that looked good. And, Mr. BFF said he quite likes leeks. 🙂
So, the kitchen is quite stocked up at the moment. But, as we’ve been noting, we have food in there, but we’ve been lacking on how exactly to put things together into meals and dishes. Hopefully, we’ll get that figured out for this week.
