I don’t think that’s even a word, but it seemed to fit for me. Nothing too exciting going on, just typing out some ‘stuff’ of late…
Had a phone call evening last night. Called my mom for her (65th) birthday. Then my sister called, which was good, cuz I haven’t spoken with her in a few weeks. Talked with Joseph too, for a bit, which means quite a bit more than he’s usually good for on the phone. Then right after that, got a call from our good friend Patti, and talked with her at length. It’d been WAY too long since we’ve hung out with her, on the phone, never mind IRL. Very very good to hear her voice… She is a very dear one in my heart.
Today, kinda did Sunday-type of things… Lots of laundry, tidying, made Macaroni and Cheese, which is definitely a signal that fall and cooler weather is here. It was sunny out, which was like a godsend, since it’s been rainy, windy and gray for the past 6 days or so. Seriously… Still, it was too wet to mow the lawns, which kind of really could use it right now, but oh well. 🙂
Last weekend absolutely flew by, in part because we were furniture shopping. We finally found a new sofa and loveseat for the living room, which will be delivered next Saturday. We ended up with a few other accessories for the room too, which is excellent. A rug, pillow, coffee and end tables. It’s definitely been past time for a new couch in here. So quite pleased that those items are coming soon.
And, I’ve actually started Christmas shopping already, gack. But, it’s good (of course). I’ve started for Pup, Dad, Sis and Joseph. Not bad for me at this point. My parents had been coming out here in early December to celebrate Christmas with us for the past 2 years, but I’m not certain they’ll be out this year. We’ll have to wait until we hear something definite. If so, that means Mom and Dad shopping comes first.
Oh, and our shower is leaking. We’ve got to move into the guest bath soon, to let our shower dry out, so we can then fix and repair and rechaulk it. I’m hoping to start drying it out this week, and perhaps get ours fixed next weekend. As with all home stuff, we shall see. I’ve got some romaine lettuce seeds that I’d like to plant for the fall, but I may be too late with that. Also got several green tomatoes out in the garden… should probably bring those in soon to try and ripen them up to some red. Lots of little things going on, as always…
As for tomorrow: make a salad, go to Kohl’s, perhaps go to grocery store, watch football. Maaayyybe mow lawn. Watch Dexter season premiere. 🙂
#occupywallstreet Heh… and yeah.
